About Us
The Appendicitis Foundation (AppendicitisFoundation.org) was founded on April 12, 2004 by Dr. Bradley Hennenfent.
Dr. Hennenfent believes that many of the things patients really need to know about appendicitis not available to them. There are also many controversies regarding appendicitis of which patients need to be made aware.
Appendicitis does not get enough publicity or research funding.
Very few quality medical articles are published on appendicitis.
Because appendicitis is an acute surgical emergency, patients have little time to learn about appendicitis, or their surgeon, or the different kinds of surgery that are available.
The Appendicitis Foundation is a private foundation. It does not have tax-exempt standing and is mostly or entirely funded by Dr. Hennenfent. When you click on the google ads, or buy things via Amazon.com, or from the other associate programs it helps defray the costs incurred by maintaining the web site.
