Regimens
to Help You Recover After Surgery
Faster recovery after the surgery After researching, I have come up with this herbal regimen that is touted by some for recovering from appendicitis. It's not a scientifically proven regimen, but nontheless some people may find it interesting. Day 1-3: One dose two to three times a day of echenacea and goldseal combination formula can help detoxify the chemicals remaining in your blood after anesthesia. Echinacea and goldseal also support the immune system and can help prevent a possible infection in a surgical wound. Day 4-7: One dose of astragalus (Astragalus membranaceous), three times a day, helps strengthen the immune system with its rich concentration of trace minerals and micronutrients. Day 8-14: One dose of American Ginseng three times a day is said to be a good source of trace minerals and micronutrients that will help strengthen your internal defenses. This herb should not be taken when you have a fever or any other infection. Day 15-21: Two to three doses of nettle and/or gotu kola daily, for it contains many trace minerals that are very useful for healing wounds and are good general tonics.
