Appendicitis
Testimonial
My mom was... My mom was once operated with appendicitis. But, unlike other people who suffer from abdominal pain, my mom hadn’t been warned until she experienced it. She was just walking when all of a sudden, all went black and she was unconscious for a while. When she woke up, she felt nauseous and wanted to vomit. Her abdomen hurt all of a sudden. After she rested, she went to the hospital to consult about it. She later learned that she had acute appendicitis that needed to be operated upon. Her appendix was swelling and she needed surgery before it busted open, spilling infection into her abdomen. Although the appendix is thought to be of little use, it causes a lot of trouble and surgery. It’s wise to get a health check up any time you have a symptom that could be appendicitis. Appendicitis is often ignored and assumed to be just a simple stomachache. Testimony for Appendicitis Foundation (www.AppendicitisFoundation.org) First published on April 16, 2004.
